The Serge Prokofiev Association is presenting a Gala Concert at St. John's Smith Square, London on Wednesday 5 March 2003, 50 years to the day after Prokofiev's death. The programme contains some of Prokofiev's most moving music performed by world renowned Russian artists (pianists Dmitri Alexeev and Mikhaïl Rudy, violinist Dmitry Sitkovetsky and cellist Alexander Ivashkin).
The four artists are donating their services as a mark of their love for Prokofiev's music, and to support the work of the Association. All proceeds will go to the Association, to support its dedicated programme, including future performances and study days.
The evening (see below for details) consists of a pre-concert event at 6.30pm, the concert at 7.30pm and a post-concert reception where guests will be able to meet the artists and Prokofiev's family, including his elder son, Sviatoslav, who will travel to London for this special occasion.
Tickets for the concert are available at St. John's, Smith Square. Tickets for the post-concert reception, available from myself at the address below, are limited to 100 and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
I hope you will be able to join us on this very special day. Please bring some friends and enjoy together a memorable evening.

With best wishes,
Noëlle Mann
