Elena Krivtsova, a graduate of the Historical Archives Institute in Moscow, works in the manuscript collection of the Glinka State Central Museum of Musical Culture and at the Shostakovich Archive. She publishes regularly on Soviet musical culture, and has annotated a forthcoming edition of Mira Mendelson’s memoirs.
Elena Mironenko, a graduate of the Moscow Conservatory, teaches music history at the Academy of Music, Theatre, and the Performing Arts in Chisinau, Moldova. She is the author of three monographs and numerous articles. She specialises in post-Soviet music and issues related to globalisation.
Iuliia Khait is an employee of the Prokofiev Museum in Moscow. She is completing a thesis at the Gnesin Academy of Music titled
Rabota S. S. Prokof'eva v sovetskom kinematografe kontsa 30-x— nachala 40-x godov (S. S. Prokofiev's work in Soviet cinematography from the late 1930s to the beginning of the 1940s).
Terry Dean is Assistant Professor of Musicology at Indiana State University, where he teaches courses in Western and non-Western music. His Ph.D. thesis at the University of Georgia centred on Prokofiev's War and Peace and the 19th-century Russian operatic traditions.
