The first public event in which the Archive was involved was the 1997 London Philharmonic Orchestra Festival. The Archive helped with the programme notes and above all organised a mobile exhibition which was on display for every concert. This was the first opportunity for the Archive to reach a wide audience.
The next significant venture was Prokofiev 2003, the celebrations that marked 50 years after Prokofiev's death. These included the
Manchester Festival (Artistic Director: Noëlle Mann) and the London Anniversary Gala Concert.
     On 3 March 2003,
The Prokofiev Room was inaugurated in Goldsmiths College
